Anming, vice president and editor-in-chief of China International Communications Group as well as executive vice president and secretary general of TAC, underscored the need to further enhance China's translation capacity, so as to better communicate with the world and foster an image of China that is trustworthy, lovable and respectable.
Under the theme of "Developing a Strong National Translation Capacity and Promoting Mutual Learning Between Chinese and Foreign Civilizations," the conference this year brought together nearly 700 representatives from the government, enterprises, universities, research institutes and the translation sector. Alison Rodriguez, president of the International Federation of Translators, addressed the event via video.
