Wuhan Three Towns returned to the top position in the Chinese Super League (CSL) standings after defeating Beijing Guoan 2-0 on Tuesday.

Beijing seemed to lack efficiency in attack as it had 10 shots but only one on target. Ademilson's penalty in the 94th minute secured Wuhan's win.
Wuhan retook the top place from Shandong Taishan due to superior goal difference. With the two teams having both collected 59 points and drew 1-1 in their first head-to-head of the season, Wuhan outperformed Shandong 50-37 in goal difference.
Also on Tuesday, both Liang Nuoheng and Franko Andrijasevic netted a brace as Zhejiang FC thrashed Guangzhou FC 5-1. Yan Dinghao pulled one back for Guangzhou in the 81st minute, before Nyasha Mushekwi completed Zhejiang's scoring frenzy in the 85th minute.
In other action, Meizhou Hakka defeated Henan Songshan Longmen 3-2, Wuhan Yangtze River defeated Guangzhou City 2-1, Shanghai Port got past Cangzhou Mighty Lions 2-0, and Dalian Pro beat Shenzhen FC 2-0.
