Napoli conquer Roma, Milan's woes continue

The Serie A title race seems to be a foregone conclusion as Napoli ran away with a 13-point advantage on the table after prevailing over

Roma 2-1 on Sunday, while AC Milan hit another low point with a 5-2 home defeat to Sassuolo.

Napoli are on a roll this season, collecting 50 points after 19 rounds before Sunday's game.

Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia returned to action and made an impact in the 17th minute when the Georgian floated a cross from the left with Victor Osimhen chesting it down to volley home.

Roma scored an equalizer in the 75th minute when substitute Stephan El Shaarawy went in front of his marker to redirect Nicola Zalewski's cross.

However, the home side sealed the win thanks to another substitute as Giovanni Simeone gathered the ball from Piotr Zielinski to finish with a left-footed drill in the 86th minute.

AC Milan continued their awful form after a 4-0 defeat to Lazio in the last round. Goals from Gregoire Defrel, Davide Frattesi and Domenico Berardi put relegation battlers Sassuolo firmly in charge at halftime, while Armand Lauriente and Matheus Henrique added another two after the break, while Olivier Giroud and Divock Origi's strikes only proved to be a temporary balm for Milan.

Juventus failed to take revenge on Monza as the newly-promoted side completed a double-kill against the Serie A giants with a 2-0 victory.

In another fixture on Sunday, Lazio shared the spoils with Fiorentina at 1-1
