The 2023 FIBA 3×3 World Tour Masters is set to take place in Huishan district, Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province from Nov 4 to 5, said the Federation Internationale de Basketball Association at a press conference held on May 15.

The highest-level competition of its kind in the world, the World Tour is setting up 15 tournaments and one final around the world this year. After qualifiers and challenges, 14 shortlisted 3×3 basketball teams will be announced three months before the final.

In recent years, Wuxi has ramped up efforts to build itself into a sports-friendly city by organizing a variety of sports activities and undertaking international and national competitions.

Huishan district hosted the FIBA 3×3 Basketball Challenge (Wuxi stop) in 2018 and 2019, laying a sound foundation for the World Tour, and this year Wuxi will also host the Wuxi Cup 3×3 Basketball League and the Wuxi division of the Chinese 3x3 Basketball League.

The World Tour is expected to introduce Wuxi and Huishan district to the world by leveraging the influence of the FIBA among enthusiasts and athletes of 3×3 basketball games as an effort to further improve the two places' international profile.
