FC Hanoi came from behind to defeat China's Wuhan Three Towns 2-1 in Group J of the AFC Champions League at the My Dinh Stadium
Wuhan opened the scoring in the 10th minute, when Ghana forward Abdul-Aziz Yakubu's clever flick found Chao He on the edge of the box before the midfielder drilled the ball into the far corner.
The visitors then went close several times to doubling their lead but missed all.
In the 72nd minute, Tuan Hai Pham's header from the edge of the penalty area caught Wuhan goalkeeper Liu Dianzuo out of position and looped over him, drawing the hosts level.
Three minutes later, Wuhan forward Wei Shihao was shown a red card for kicking out at Xuan Manh Pham after both tussling for the ball.
Tuan Hai Pham volleyed home in the last minute to grab the first victory for Hanoi in the AFC Champions League.
Elsewhere, Japan's Ventforet Kofu cruised past China's Zhejiang FC 4-1 and South Korea's Pohang Steelers beat Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds 2-1.
