Algeria reaffirmed on Tuesday its firm stance on supporting the one-China principle and China's national reunification.
During his separate meetings with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune
and Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui in the Algerian capital of Algiers, Liu Guozhong, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and vice premier of the State Council, explained China's principled position on the Taiwan issue.
Both Tebboune and Larbaoui said that the Taiwan issue is purely China's internal affairs, and Algeria has always firmly adhered to the one-China principle.
Stressing that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory, the Algerian leaders also expressed support for China's efforts to seek national reunification, while rejecting any form of Taiwan independence.
