Chinese action thriller "Formed Police Unit" topped the box office in the Chinese mainland on Thursday, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed.
The film about Chinese peacekeeping police
grossed 94.93 million yuan (about 13.36 million U.S. dollars) on the second day of its release on the mainland.
It was followed by "The Last Frenzy," a Chinese comedy exploring life's choices in the face of death. It raked in nearly 87 million yuan on Thursday.
Hong Kong action crime thriller "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In" came in third with a daily earning of 51.56 million yuan in box office revenue.
The Chinese mainland's box office revenue totaled 343.03 million yuan on Thursday.
